Lies, damned lies, and... Print E-mail

Someone once said there's lies, damned lies and statistics. Someone else said the numbers never lie. Obviously they weren't on speaking terms. With this in mind (sort of) have a look at this interesting collection of Motorplex statistics.

We've compiled these using the Motorplex pointscore. Here are our figures for the last three seasons. A whole season competitor is one who competes in every event.

Interesting patterns, huh? Of note is the decline in the two DYO sedan brackets this season, particularly Super Street. However Modified Bike and Junior Dragtser have been the powerhouses this season with some good growth making up for the decline in the other areas. Comp Bike and Outlaws also saw slight improvements. Top Comp and Super Comp are still really looking for people to be able to run through whole seasons though. Participation wise those JDs lead the pack again, they had the most competitors committed to the season when compared to how many different competitors there actually was. With 19 competitors making every event, Modified Bike was also very strong in this respect.
