The 9th season at Western Australia's premiere Motorsports venue, the Perth Motorplex, has all the hallmarks of being the best ever.

ANDRA Championship Drag Racing, Super Speedway including the confirmation that the 2009 Australian Sprintcar Championship will be held at Perth Motorplex, Fast Fridays, Whoop Ass Wednesdays, Motorvation, Burnout shows and the return of the Ray Baumann Stunt Show (that Bus has to go!) are highlights of the huge season of motortainment that has been planned.

And if that is not enough the management team are hard at work planning several other high profile events to feed your need for speed!

Following is a brief overview of the season ahead.
NATIONAL DRAG RACING
The 9 event National Drag Racing calendar has a different feel to it this year with the Australian Top Fuel Championship round being moved to the first weekend of December.

This date has been selected to maximise the number of teams that can travel to the Perth Motorplex with anticipation high for one of the largest ever fields of 500kmh Dragsters to prowl the Perth Motorplex quarter mile.

The 37th annual Goldenstates featuring rounds of the Australian Top Doorslammer and Top Bike has been moved to the middle of November with the cooler air certain to produce great racing conditions.

The Top Alcohol and Pro Stock Motorcycle Championship rounds are now in the last week of January.

The Top Doorslammers and Top Bikes return for the 38th annual Westernationals to be held on the Labor Day longweekend. The Westernationals is also a round of the Rocket Allstars Racing Series attracting large numbers of Sportsman racers West in the hunt for championship points.

Nitro Funny Cars feature twice during the season including a return to Boxing Day and along with USA Jet Dragsters and a healthy growth in the all Supercharged GT Radial Tyres Top Comp and Genie Exhaust Supercharged Outlaws means only one thing.

It's going to be hot, hot, hot on the quarter mile at the Perth Motorplex.
