Brothers Rocco and Frank Salvo have been campaigning their 1992 Camaro in Super Comp for three seasons now and will soon be looking to step up their team.

They began racing in 1991 with a Ford Falcon street car, making the move to the drag strip after deciding the hassle from police on the streets was not worth it.

Frank said family commitments curtailed their racing for some time before they decided to get back in the sport by buying their current Camaro, which is running in the C/Gas class.

"Super Comp is a challenging class trying to make horsepower with the rules you are given," he said. "We'd ultimately love to race Pro Stock and this is a stepping stone to that."

The Camaro, driven by Rocco, has recently been given a five speed transmission to try and step up performances from the team's current best of 8.36sec. for the quarter mile.

The team is also beginning an expansion with a new transporter purchased as well as a second, newer Camaro to get Frank back into the driver's seat.

"I'm sick of being out of the car," he said.
