4/3/2008 - Jack Daniel's Racing takes clean sweep

4/3/2008 - Congratulations to all racers on another fantastic Westernationals event. I believe the final tally was seven national records? Potentially more.

1/3/2008 - A big first day for the Westernationals...as predicted the AA/Altereds are dominant in Comp currently with the top four positions held by the breed. Stuart Rowland is an insane 1.03 seconds under his index with a 5.91. The bump spot is an amazing .385 under, held by Mario Puglia in his AA/AP Falcon.
Nino Cavallo leads Super Stock with a .498 under 8.22 in C/GA. Alex Panagiotidis gave his Camaro a different introduction to the Motorplex by going into the sand on his first pass, fortunately the car came out undamaged.
Competition Bike is B/SB heaven with 10 out of the 16 qualified bikes belonging to that class. David Rundmann has top qualified with a 9.44. A lot of street bikes have entered the category just to do some insane burnouts, something we don't mind seeing!
More news tomorrow.

1/3/2008 - Motorplex Report on Top Doorslammer and Top Bike

29/2/2008 - Weather is currently looking excellent for the weekend with maximum temperatures of 30 degrees predicted for both days.

29/2/2008 - One run we missed in the wrap up of the test and tune was Lindsay Catalano's 6.49 in the Supercharged Outlaws Charger. We are told this puts him very close to the Charger world record!

28/2/2008 - Maurice Fabietti has run a 6.18sec. time in pre-event testing today in 39 degree heat, showing he is definitely a new force in the Top Doorslammer field.

28/2/2008 - Fabietti ready for fabulous weekend

28/2/2008 - Interstate invasion to Westernationals

28/2/2008 - Athol heads to the Wild West

28/2/2008 - Team Bray heads west

28/2/2008 - Nothing major to report from the test and tune. It was really too hot for any vehicles to show their potential. Brett Allen showed his new A/SB could be a force in Comp Bike by running an easy 9.0 on its first time out. Peter Kapiris, Gary Stevens and Mark Drew were the pro vehicles getting in laps. Tyre shake afflicted the Valentan A/AP car (which has been ruled legal by ANDRA!) and the Gullotto Soarer.

27/2/2008 - The pre-event test and tune is on today, we'll bring you some news tonight.

27/2/2008 - Mark Sheehan will be entering the AA/Altered wars this weekend. That makes for four cars all capable of going more than half a second under the national record.

25/2/2008 - Zappias leads battle of Doorslammers

25/2/2008 - Doug goes rugless

25/2/2008 - Brett's bikes breaking through

25/2/2008 - Kath hunting for repeat

21/2/2008 - Westernationals Entry List
