Top Bike Championship leader Troy McLean is looking to build further on his recent runner up position at the Australian Nationals in Queensland by upping the ante with a victory at the Goldenstates at the Perth Motorplex this weekend (30th Nov-1st Dec).
A regular visitor to Western Australia on his Brett Stevens Racing prepared Jack Daniel's Racing Nitro Harley, McLean knows the importance of ensuring a good result in Perth with a 50% points bonus awarded for the event.
"I am currently leading the Top Bike Championship however the points are very close so it is vital that I get another good result at the Goldenstates, especially with the bonus points offered in Western Australia," McLean said. "There are so many good bikes now that can run the numbers needed to win though we are going to have to be right on top of our game and leave nothing to chance." "We know our bikes can consistently run mid 6 second passes and we are hoping that this will give us a one-two finish for the team with me and Brett (Stevens)." |
