Drag racer Adam Croker recently made a shock move in selling his 1953 Corvette Top Doorslammer and has now brought in a dragster from the US.

The wadragracing.com sponsor said he didn't expect to sell the car but the right price was offered.

His new weapon has all the latest parts and will be raced in the AA/Dragster class. It will feature a 470 cubic inch BAE motor, CS2 transmission, Crower pedal clutch as well as an experimental M5 supercharger that according to testing should produce another 280hp on the motor.

Croker is no stranger to dragsters, racing one before the Top Doorslammer, and he still holds the speed record for the AA/Dragster class.

"I'd like to get the time record too," he said. "I would like to eventually do a round of Top Alcohol but knowing me it might be sold before I get the chance!

"I haven't got big expectations, it will just be to have some fun and do some laps."
