Excitement is at boiling point as the Northern Territories dry season 'Horsepower Party' continues on the back of the V8 Supercars with the Hidden Valley motorsport complex hosting the NT Drag Racing Titles on Saturday July 7. After thrilling the crowds with his Jack Daniel's Racing Burnout Ute at the Skycity V8's a fortnight ago, Brett 'The Boss' Stevens will now be getting down to business plying his trade as one of the countries leading professional Drag Racers.

Stevens will be ensuring this years NT Drag Racing Titles will be the largest event in its history as he not only brings his Falcon Top Doorslammers and Nitro Harley Top Bikes to race, but also his Kitten Car Care Products Top Alcohol Funny Car.

"Never before have I brought my Doorslammers, Nitro Harley's and Funny Car to the same event outside of the Australian Drag Racing Championship series," Stevens said.

"This really is a unique opportunity to see Group One Drag Racing at its very best and is a credit to the event organisers that they have been able to grow the NT Titles into a top level professional event for the motorsport fans here in Darwin."

"I really love coming up here, without the pressure of Championship racing I can just let loose and have some fun entertaining the crowd that normally doesn't get to see this level of racing."

"The sight, smell and sound of two methanol fuelled, 3,500 horsepower cars battling it out over the q uarter mile is an experience not to be missed."

"We should definitely be able to make a new mark in the Hidden Valley record books with Funny Cars as well."

This will be the first time ever that Funny Cars have appeared in Darwin and is a huge coup for the event. Racing against Stevens will be another Queenslander Steven Reed in his Nulon Engine Oils Funny Car, meaning that the fans will get to see the current Australian number 2 & 3 ranked drivers going door-handle to door-handle in what will already be a huge show.

In Top Doorslammer racing Brett Stevens will again feature in his Jack Daniel's Racing Falcon, as well as the only female to ever to compete in the bracket Kath Stevens in the second Jack Daniel's Racing car, the 2007 Top Doorslammer leading rookie Steve Packman in the SP Tools Doorslammer and Darwin local Matt Able taking it up to the big guns.

Top Bike will see Stevens go from four wheels to two as he mounts up aboard his Jack Danie l's Nitro Harley to go head to head with team mate Troy McLean in what will be a battle of the 2 quickest Harley's in the Southern Hemisphere.

As well as witnessing 5 second quarter mile runs at speeds reaching 400 km/h, the Brett Stevens Racing team will also be on display throughout the event for fans to get an autograph and memorabilia.
