08/09 season gossip - 2008/07/27 19:12 looks like 08/09 will see the emergence of more turbos in mod bike with the possibility of 3 bikes with efi as works in progress during winter.

ducati,busa and a zx14.

plenty of bike action with the national rounds, 2 hi tech's and fast friday will be interesting if the points score returns.

what else is new? other than its raining & freezin.

cheers & bring on the season

Re:08/09 season gossip - 2008/09/24 13:53 heard today greg juranovich had a recent accident where the car was at fault that ran into his street bike.

all i know is broken wrist but expect to see him before the end of the 09 season on his extended Nitrous ZX12R.

Greg finished in the top 5 modbike racers last season.

Heel Fast Greg.

Re:08/09 season gossip - 2008/11/24 18:58 there was 2 busas in mod bike at the 2nd round being the goldenstates but we should see 2 more but of the 1397cc variety at the next meeting in December. Should give the a few more places for non barred bikes in the top half of the field with both of the bikes running 9.2'-9.3's.

Re:08/09 season gossip - 2008/12/14 09:39 It won't be out till Jan at the earliest.
Have to make sure all is ok with it first and then he will have a hole lot of fun or so he thinks.
Drag racing is easy isn't it.

I do things my way.

Re:08/09 season gossip - 2008/12/16 21:22 Well I’m back did you know that it is only 4884km’s to Whyalla and back. The Harley is now in my possession and it’s down to work to get the Bike Tech inspected and ready for Licensing. Like Darrin said the Westerns are the go but who knows when. This is all new to me riding a bike @150mph that is.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank a few people, Cherrie (are we there yet), Brenden, Darrin, Lou (for the Trailer) and Graham@American Muscle Car Imports. Graham Comes Highly recommended from other Perth racers and I would recommend him for any one bringing anything in from the US. The whole Transaction was easy as Graham did it all. He is a racer friendly person and will go that bit extra to help you out. Please check out his website americanmusclecars.com.au it’s worth the effort.

Re:08/09 season gossip - 2008/12/20 09:02 keep us postred hd on your debut date.

a few new racers for boxing day.

Mark Old's bike is rebuilt for its debut this season 1500cc & Les Holden returns. Also John O'Hara on his 1398 Hayabusa whom i thought was coming out last round.

There are 2 600cc bikes in the field with Drew coming up from bunbury for his 2nd meet and Tony Hinkley doing his 1st round.

When you look at the field of bikes the engine capacity of them all in mod bike is mainly over 1000cc with only 2 600cc's & 2 1000cc bikes which means some very quick times.

see you all boxing day.
